Chantal Mallett gowns are made-to-measure & clients are required to attend fittings at my showroom in the UK.

CONSULTATIONS & FITTINGS - a typical scehdual of appointments:

Appointment/stage 1) Design consultation - a design is decided upon & fabrics chosen (sometimes clients choose to come back for
a second consultation).
Appointment/stage 2) Measurements are taken & the finer details of the chosen design discussed.
Appointment/stage 3) A corset toile will be fitted & alterations noted. A number of design elements will be checked & fitted.
Appointment/stage 4) The boned base of the final corset is checked for fit & a number of design elements will be checked & fitted.
Appointment/stage 5) The corset, which is partially made up is fitted for a final time. The hem length of the skirt decided etc.
Appointment/stage 6) The finished gown is picked up.

Understandably 6 or 7 visits to my showroom are often not possible for clients living outside of the UK. Below you will find solutions which can reduce the number of appointments required & number of times you will need to visit the UK, suggestions on how we can work around your time constraints & how we can make your visits run as smoothly as possible & be as productive as possible:

NORTH AMERICA, SOUTH AMERICA, ASIA, AFRICA & AUSTRALIA:

Given plenty of notice, I can work a design consultation & initial fittings around a client's holiday in the UK with the remainder of the fittings & pick up worked around subsequent short trips or another holiday. Any design queries, etc. can be conducted via email in the interim period:

Example: Stages 1 & 2 can be combined & depending on time, it is possible to work through to the completion of stage 4 during one visit to the UK. This would leave one fitting & a pick up to schedule around a second visit.

It is possible to create a couture gown from start to finish in 4 weeks if the client is going to be avaliable for fittings over that period & if I am able to set aside a 4 week time block to work exclusivly on the commission.

Alternatively, overseas clients that make regular business trips to the UK could spread their fittings out over a period of months or through the year.

My showroom is based in Bedfordshire, which is 35 minutes by train from Central London & I am very flexiable with my appointment times, so it would be quite easy to attend fittings if you are staying in the capital.

SCOTLAND, IRELAND & THE REST OF EUROPE:

My showoom is 15 minutes from London Luton Airport & 35 minutes by train from Central London.

Initial consultations / fittings:

For convenience, I can arrange to transfer clients to & from the airport, train station or a local hotel.

Ideally fittings would be conducted over a 2 or 3 month period close to the wedding date (to ensure a perfect fit). If this were not possible, fittings could be spread out over a longer period for clients that are unable to make frequent trips to the England or wish to work around business trips.

For clients that plan to commission their gown at the first consultation & are in a position to begin the fitting process (e. g. are not dieting or planning to loose weight), with advanced notice, it is possible to schedule a design consultation, take measurements & conduct the first fitting of the corset toile (stages 1 to 3) over a 48 hour period so that the client need only make another 3 trips to England.
